This is a restaurant located in Mauritius, designed with a logical workflow and an emphasis on visibility and guest experience.
Near the receiving area, four four-tier storage racks and four refrigerators are strategically placed to ensure ample, organized storage for raw ingredients upon delivery. This setup allows for efficient inventory management and immediate proper storage of perishable goods.
Adjacent to the storage zone is the food preparation area, equipped with a triple-sink station and dedicated worktables. This space is used for washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients, ensuring a hygienic and efficient prep process.
The cooking area features a central island layout with cooking equipment installed on both sides, maximizing kitchen efficiency and allowing chefs to work from all angles. Positioned nearby is a salad refrigerator, conveniently located for the preparation of cold dishes and garnishes. Once dishes are prepared, they are transferred to a pass-through area where they are plated and sent directly to the dining room for serving.
A key design feature is the use of a transparent glass partition between the kitchen and dining area. This allows guests to view the chefs in action, creating an engaging, open, and trustworthy atmosphere that highlights the freshness and craftsmanship of the food.
In the dining area, a bar counter is incorporated to serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. The back bar features a curved wall-mounted wine and spirit display rack, adding an elegant architectural element while showcasing the beverage selection. Complementing this, a suspended display rack is hung from the ceiling in front of the bar, drawing attention to premium bottles and enhancing the visual appeal of the bar area.
This layout combines functional efficiency with an inviting, transparent design that enriches the guest experience through visibility, aesthetics, and seamless service.
